ByteDance-owned Helo removed 1.6 lakh accounts & 5 million posts for violating guidelines

The social media platform 'Helo' which focuses on Indian language users removed about 1.6 lakh accounts & 5 million posts from its platform over the last 10 months after they found to be violating guidelines. The platform is operated by China's ByteDance that also runs TikTok. Helo is an India-focussed app & has a strong adoption not only in India but also among the Indian diaspora in the US, Malaysia, Nepal, etc.
