Actor Irrfan Khan passes away at 54 after prolonged illness

Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan today passed away at the age of 54, after being admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Tuesday, where he was under observation for colon infection. Irrfan in 2018 had announced that he’d been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour. Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar shared the news of Irrfan's demise on Twitter and wrote: "My dear friend Irfaan. You fought and fought and fought."
