ITV partners with BBC to rival Netflix

BBC and ITV have joined hands for a deal to launch subscription service BritBox in the UK by the end of 2019. The service will cost £5.99 monthly in HD and stream across several screens and devices. BBC's iPlayer will retain programs for a year after its TV broadcast, and then it will be transferred to BritBox to rival Netflix’s popularity. Netflix recently announced it has reached 137 million subscribers worldwide.
