Slated to be released on 10th April 2020, '83' will show the journey of Kapil Dev when he was appointed as the captain of the Indian Cricket team, and the team won the World Cup in 1983 against West Indies. Kapil Dev's daughter Amiya has come on board as the assistant director of the film. She is taking part actively in everything, from costume to training sessions. Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the role of Kapil.
