Madras High Court permits Jayalalithaa’s niece to file civil suit against Thalaivi makers

Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivi, a film based on late politician Jayalalithaa’s life, has landed in trouble as the Madras High Court has granted permission to Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa Jayakumar to file a civil suit against the makers of the film. Deepa moved the High Court to seek a stay on two in-production projects - the film and a web series. She mentioned in her affidavit that makers should take her permission.
