Angela Ponce, the first transgender to win Miss Universe Spain pageant after beating 22 other contestants, is also going to be the first transgender to take part in Miss Universe contest, which will take place in the Philippines later this year. Miss Universe pageant opened its gates to transgenders in 2012. Ponce, who is from Seville, is excited to represent Spain and LGBTQ+ community in the competition.
