Peter Fonda, the star, co-writer, and producer of 1969 cult classic Easy Rider, has passed away at the age of 79. He suffered respiratory failure after battling lung cancer and died peacefully at his Los Angeles home. ‘Easy Rider’, in which Fonda was seen sharing screen with director Dennis Hopper and a young Jack Nicholson, was a cult classic and earned Fonda an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay.
