Record Created : Sikh group in US tied 9000 turbans

To celebrate Vaisakhi, the Sikh groups in New York have commemorated the turban day, by tying turbans during the day-long celebration and had set world records of tying more than 9,000 turbans in Times Square. Thousands of volunteers came forward to tie turbans on the head of the New Yorkers to spread love and to make others understand the faith of the Sikh religion. Turban day has been celebrated in NYC since 2013.
