Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority has fined Facebook 1.650 Turkish lira or $270,000 for contravening data laws. A software bug exposed millions of Facebook users' private photos to 3rd party app developers. The authority ruled the social media company had not taken the necessary measures to protect the data & failed to notify authorities about the bug in time. The bug might have affected 6.8 million people.
