Yash Raj films accused of collecting Rs. 100 crore on the name of music royalties from artists

Bollywood production house Yash Raj Films (YRF) has been accused by the Indian Performing Rights Society (IPRS), a body that comprises composers, lyricists and music producers, of collecting Rs 100 crore in music royalties belonging to IPRS members unauthorisedly. An FIR has been filed with the Mumbai police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW). The body alleged that the production house prevented it from collecting royalties.
