In its history of 102 years, for the first time, British Vogue cover has featured a hijab-clad model Halima Aden for their May issue. They have chosen 9 models as “nine frontiers” to the world of fashion. Edward Enninful, the editor has said that with these nine models, they are trying to represent and celebrate the diversities of the world. Previously the magazine was scrutinized for its lack of diversities.
