259 sexual abuse allegations reported in UN in 2018

In 2018, the UN had received 259 allegations of sexual abuse and exploitation committed by staff working in their agencies and partner organizations. There were 148 reports of sexual abuse and exploitation directly involving UN workers and 111 cases were against staff from partner organizations working on UN programmes. In 2017, 165 allegations were filed and comparatively there is a huge increase of allegations filed in 2018.
