As per the UN report, nearly 1 in 9 people in the world go hungry, with coronavirus crisis intensifying already worsening trends this year. The economic slowdown and climate-related shocks have pushed more people into hunger. The number of people suffering from hunger has slowly grown since 2014. The UN found out that 690 mn people are hungry. It estimates that by 2030, over 890 million people can be affected by hunger.
