1,000-year-old Viking ship unearthed on Norwegian island

A 1,000-year-old Viking ship has been discovered buried on the Edoya island of Norway, the same island where a ship of similar vintage was unearthed six months earlier. The 8-oared vessel, just under 40 feet long, was found less than 500 feet from where a Viking ship from the same time frame was discovered buried in late 2019. Two houses and five burial mounds have also been located during a georadar survey.
