According to the latest figures released by the UK government, a 12% increase was recorded in racial hate crimes in England, Wales over the past year. There was also a 9 percent increase in overall hate crimes over the same time period. "There were 124,091 hate crimes recorded by the police in England and Wales in the year ending March 2021,” the Home Office bulletin said. Most of these crimes were racially motivated.
