CIC orders RBI to reveal the demonetized amount deposited Jan Dhan accounts

Ordered by CIC, RBI has to mention the amount deposited in Jan Dhan accounts of various banks in the form of demonetized currency. Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana begun in August’14. It ensures everyone’s access to the financial services such as banking. In April’18, Rs 80,000 cr were deposited in the accounts after which the Yojana came into the light. RBI is required to disclose the details to the activist Subhash Agrawal.
