Making progress with time, from 129 in 2016 to 130 in 2017, India has climbed on the UNDP’s 2017 Human Development Index. It is based on the factors like citizens’ ability to lead a long and healthy life, access to knowledge and a decent standard of living. Where Norway, Switzerland, Australia, Ireland, and Germany are the top five nations on the index, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, are at 150 and 136 respectively.
