Court orders airlines to pay Rs 90,000, 11 years after losing the baggage

A Chennai resident Sumanth Subramanian had lost his baggage almost 11-years ago while traveling in a British Airways flight. The South Chennai Disputes Redressal Forum has recently ordered the airlines to pay Rs 90,000 to the person as a penalty. However, the airlines has denied the allegations and said that the luggage was lost because of a technical fault and said the person could only get Rs 20,875 for this.
