17,000 employees locked down by Shanghai airport after fresh Covid cases

China has been able to curb the outbreak of the novel coronavirus to a large extent and a similar attempt to counter the pandemic came to light after 5 cases of the infection emerged in China's second-largest, Shanghai airport. The authorities at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport isolated over 17,000 employees to test them. Out of the five new Covid cases that emerged, three were the workers at the airport’s cargo area.
