18 French soldiers to face military court over call for 'civil war'

Eighteen French soldiers who supported the call for a "civil war" in the country by signing it, are likely to face a military court. François Lecointre, the armed forces' chief of staff said that the soldiers could be “de-listed” or “put into immediate retirement”. “The hour is grave, France is in peril," the letter read. It blamed “fanatic partisans” for creating divisions between communities.
