18,522 new coronavirus cases recorded in India, Recovery rate improves

India record a decline in coronavirus cases for 2nd straight day with 18,522 new cases being reported. The number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in India has crossed 5.66 lakh. The death toll rose to 16,893 with 418 new fatalities on Friday, the number of active cases stands at 2,15,125 while 3,34,822 people have recovered, according to Union Health Ministry data.
