22% Indians trust politicians, reveals survey

A survey carried out by Ipsos MORI in 27 countries has revealed that 22% Indian believe that politicians tell the truth. Only 10% of global respondents expected truth from politicians, making India's 22% to be more than double the global average. Only 4% of respondents from Britain, Sweden, Hungary and Spain trusted their politicians. 77% of Indians were also confident about being able to tell fake news from real news.
