A 22-year-old man from New Jersey has become the first person on the planet to undergo a successful face and double hand transplant. The man named Joe DiMeo had got third-degree burns on over 80 percent of his body after fell asleep while driving home from a night shift in July 2018. DiMeo's car flipped over and exploded. The man's fingers were left amputated after the accident. His face was also burnt after the incident.
