Anupriya Lakra, a 23yr old, becomes a pilot seven years after she left engineering halfway and entered an aviation academy in 2012. The tribal-dominated area girl is all set to enter as a co-pilot. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik praised Lakra on the remarkable feat of devotion and consistency and said it would set an example to inspire others. Her mother voiced joy as a point of pride for the people of Malkangiri.
