Britain is witnessing a fresh surge in coronavirus cases with 2,988 fresh coronavirus cases reported on Sunday. This was the highest count of daily coronavirus cases since May 23. 1,813 new cases were reported a day earlier on Saturday. According to the government data, two Covid19 deaths were reported within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test in the previous 24 hours. The fatality rate remains low despite the rise in cases.
