30 warning shots fired by US Coast Guard ship after Iranian vessels come close

As many as 30 warning shots were fired by a US Coast Guard ship after 13 vessels from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy came close to it. The encounter happened in the Strait of Hormuz. This is the second such instance within the last month that US military vessels had to fire warning shots over the unsafe behaviour by Iranian vessels. Six US military vessels, including the USS Monterey, were present in the region.
