Floods don't mean that the state can't face a water crisis. It is just a few years back when Chennai faced the most devastating floods in its history but is topping the list of top 20 cities across the world facing severe water scarcity and drought. Followed by Chennai, Kolkata ranks at number 2, Mumbai at 11 and Delhi at 15 to face a severe water crisis in 2018. The world is losing wetlands faster than forests.
