Nearly 50,000 homes in Australia’s western coast are still without power as it continues to be rattled by wild weather for the second day in a row, amid the rare event termed as a ‘once-in-a-decade’ storm. Western Australia has already experienced the wildest autumn weather in the past few years, as the remnants of Tropical Cyclone Mangga collided with a cold front and whipped up gusts of about 100km/h.
