6.7 magnitude earthquake jolts Philippines, reports US Geological Survey

The US Geological Survey reported that Philippines was jolted by a 6.7-magnitude strong earthquake. The earthquake struck off the main island of Luzon at 4:48 am at a depth of 112 kilometres. Minutes later, another earthquake of magnitude 5.8 hit the same region. "It's very strong, we're alarmed," said police Major Ronnie Aurellano in Calatagan municipality. However, no Tsunami warning has been issued.
