Animal Welfare Board's member Mohan Singh Ahluwalia has revealed that 68.7% of milk and milk products sold in India contain adulterants such as detergent, glucose, white paint and caustic soda, and do not meet the standards set by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). WHO has already warned India that 87% of the population will suffer from serious diseases if this adulteration remains unchecked.
