70,000 health and wellness centres operating under Ayushman Bharat Yojna, over 400 million benefitted: Health Ministry

The Union Health Ministry said that as many as 70,000 health and wellness centres are now operating under the flagship Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna launched by the Narendra Modi government. As per the ministry, over 400 million individuals have received the benefits of the scheme in past three years. "This is testimony to the process of effective decentralization and cooperative federalism,” the ministry added.
