80% PET bottles recycled, use of plastic still on rise in India

The plastic menace in the world is growing rapidly from Everest to the ocean, and many countries are now making an effort to stop it. However, the bad news for India is that the per capita use of plastic is growing steadily in the country. However, on the other hand, India has successfully been able to reuse 80% of the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, commonly used for packaged drinking water and juices.
