UP farmers, who had to spend sleepless nights in extreme cold weather on their farms to protect the crops and farms from cows, have locked some 800 cows inside a government school and primary health centre in Aligarh. Two cases were filed and four people were taken into custody after rumours of these animals being butchered were spread. The cows were taken to a shelter by the police in vehicles sent by them.
