8-member panel to prepare roadmap for implementation of Assam Accord

The Assam government is going to form an 8-member panel comprising of cabinet ministers and members of the All Assam Students’ Union for the preparation of a roadmap for implementing the Assam Accord. The panel is likely to prepare a roadmap in 3 months. Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took the decision during a meeting with AASU. Assam Accord is aimed at detecting and expelling foreign nationals.
