90% of Covid19 fatalities in India are linked to people above 40, 60% are men

According to the latest health ministry data, the count of men who lost their lives due to Covid19 in India is nearly double the count of women who lost their lives due to the pandemic. More than 90% of the people who died due to the deadly disease were above 40 years of age. Over 50% of 56,292 people who died due to Covid19 by August 22 were in the 50 -70 age group. The highest deaths were reported in the 61-70 year age group.
