A Chunk of Hyderabad's iconic Charminar's minaret falls off

Hyd's 428-year-old historic monument 'Charminar' suffered considerable damage when a large piece of lime stucco work on 1 of its 4 minarets facing the Mecca Masjid on the south-west side fell off around midnight. However, there were no casualties or injuries reported. The police cordoned off the area around the debris & informed Archaeological Survey of India officials, who are the custodian of a monument.
