A Florida city pays $600,000 to hackers after they got into city's systems

Riviera Beach City in Florida voted to pay the hackers demands, pays $600,000 in ransom to hackers to retrieve city records which they encrypted. The city council had already voted to spend almost $1 million on new computers and hardware after hackers took over the city's computer 3 weeks ago. The city had other problems too like a disabled email system, employees and vendors being paid by check than direct deposit.
