A huge Saharan dust cloud, that has been moving from Africa over the Atlantic ocean, has darkened the Caribbean skies. Dust clouds are formed when the wind blows heavily over the Sahara dust, whisking up dust and sand high into the sky. The Caribbean islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique have flagged their worst haze in a decade. Cuban health officials have warned that it could lead to an increase in respiratory problems.
