US hospital uses blood transfusion therapy from Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918 as Covid-19 treatment

A prominent hospital, Houston Methodist hospital, has infused a patients blood who recovered from Covid-19 into a critically ill patient. It became the first in the country to try such an experiment. This is called as Convalescent Serum Therapy wherein a person who has been in good health for over 2 weeks after diagnosed with coronavirus donates blood plasma. This concept dates back to the Spanish pandemic flu of 1918.
