A retired soldier from Assam arrested as Illegal Immigrant, declared a foreigner

A 53-year-old retired soldier Mohammad Sanaulla from Assam, who served the army for 30 years, has been declared as a foreigner by the police under a law used to stop illegal migration from Bangladesh. He had served as a subedar in the army till 2017 & fought terrorists in Kashmir & Manipur, was arrested & sent to a detention centre. The family is shocked & is now preparing for a legal battle to prove that he is Indian.
