Abhijit Banerjee, Esther Duflo receive Economics Nobel dressed in dhoti and saree

Indian-American economist Abhijit Banerjee, along with his wife Esther Duflo and fellow economist Michael Kremmer, were awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics at a ceremony in Oslo on Wednesday. Banerjee wore a dhoti and a bandhgala jacket (traditional Indian attire) whereas his wife Duflo dressed up in a blue saree for the occasion. Kremmer, meanwhile, was seen in a suit as they received the prize.
