Singapore’s leading daily, The Straits Times has placed Serum Institute of India chief executive Adar Poonawalla among the “Asians of the Year”. Poonawalla is among six people named “Asians of the Year”. Chinese researcher Zhang Yongzhen, China’s Major-General Chen Wei, Japan’s Dr. Ryuichi Morishita, Singapore’s Professor Ooi Eng Eong and South Korean businessman Seo Jung-jin are the other 5 people on the list.
