Add 1000 contacts on WeChat to get marks, Chinese varsity gives task

A university professor in China set an assignment to add as many as friends possible in the popular messaging app WeChat, as a part of the social media management module. The students must add 1000 new friends to pass, as it holds 30% of the final grade. This being a very difficult task, made the students nervous & they contacted the media company. It is still debatable whether such a task is useful or not.
