A shocking event in Tamil Nadu occurred, when the members of the upper-caste group reportedly refused to allow the funeral procession to pass through their territory, the corpse of a Dalit person had to be lowered off a bridge with ropes. N Kuppam, a Narayanapuram Dalit Colony resident, died on a Friday road accident, his family was on the way to the crematorium for their final rites when the incident took place.
