Recently, the government-owned Air India rolled out new rules for its crew members, which are being criticized highly. Going by its new fitness rules, the national airline has made a difference between its Permanently Medically Unfit and Temporary Medically Unfit crew. This means that if an airline's crew member remains unfit to fly for 18 months, he/she will be considered to the PMU category.
