The Allahabad High Court asked the state government and UP Pollution Control Board about the measures they were taking to tackle the air pollution in the state. The high court's Lucknow bench ordered the state government and the pollution control board to file counter-affidavits within six weeks to explain the measure. The order was given by a bench of justices Pankaj Mithal and Saurabh Lavania on a Lucknow resident's PIL.
