Muslim cleric Sufiyan Nizami slammed the Allahabad High Court over its recent ruling on madrasas that came a day earlier. The Allahabad High Court asked the Uttar Pradesh government yesterday to provide details on the funding of religious institutions such as madrasas. “The court needs to understand that madrasas are not only centres for religious education, but English and Hindi are also taught there," Nizami said.
