Amazon India's hits export sales over $1 billion, 56% rise in sales

Amazon.com saw a 56% rise in the number of local merchants selling to international markets, hit export sales of over $1 billion. Indian merchants export more than 140 million products on the Amazon app. Amazon launched its Global Selling Program in 2015 as part of its efforts to get small & medium-sized vendors on board. More than 80% of the company's current export vendors were from small towns & cities.
