Andhra Pradesh witnesses sudden spurt in Black Fungus cases

Andhra Pradesh has seen a fresh surge in mucormycosis cases, which is also known as Black Fungus. The total number of cases of the dangerous infection has surged to 4,597. As many as 151 cases of mucormycosis were reported in the state in the last week. This number also includes 14 deaths. As many as 428 people have lost their lives due to the infection in the state while 3,492 people have successfully recovered.
