Antarctic ice sheets can melt faster than the scientists thought

The researchers have found that at the end of the last ice age, Antarctic ice sheet has retreated 10 times faster than the fastest retreating sheets in Present time. With that, the researchers have warned that, if the climate change does not stop and keeps on weakening the ice shelves in the coming decades, then similar level of ice retreat is not impossible and that will have huge implications worldwide.
